Uses in Vehicle Rescue

The Power Wedge can be used for opening hoods on car fires. Once the tool is on place, the user can move up to 10 feet away, avoiding interference with fire crews.

As a first responder tool, the Power Wedge can be used to create purchase points, exposing hinges and Nader pins during vehicle rescue. It can also be used in spreading operations where full size hydraulic spreaders won’t fit. The Power Wedge can also be used for opening trunk lids.

Since the Power Wedge is operated by a hand pump there is no danger when operating in a low oxygen atmosphere. No carbon monoxide is produced lessening the need for ventilation.

Anywhere you have a zero opening; the Power Wedge can be forced into place to make an opening. By extending the Power Wedge the opening can be made large enough to insert an airbag or other type of jack.
