The Motor Vehicle Crash Kit is designed to carry many of the tools a first responder needs when arriving at a rescue scene.  Instead of waiting for the rescue vehicle to arrive, this kit allows you to prepare and begin stabilizing the vehicle.  The kit comes with a fire-extrication blanket to cover the patient.  After covering the patient, the glass on the vehicle can be removed with the spring punch and the windshield saw.  The MV Crash Kit also includes a hood opening tool and battery cable cutters.  These will allow you to disconnect the battery.  Also included are some basic hand tools, a hack saw and plug pattie.  After stabilizing the vehicle, you can begin making cuts with the hack saw to remove the roof.  The hack saw is very effective for cutting “A” and “B” posts.  The plug pattie is used to plug small leaks in the fuel tank.  Now all of these tools are available in one convenient carrying case—the Motor Vehicle Crash Kit.
