The Power Wedge is a multi-use forcible
entry tool, originally designed for opening entry doors. We adapted this
tool for many uses, including vehicle rescue, confined space rescues,
structural collapse, machinery entrapment and many others. The Power
Wedge spreads up to 4 1/8” and produces up to 20,000 lbs of spreading
force. The Power Wedge has many uses: In vehicle rescue it can be used
to make purchase points, exposing hinges and Nader pins. It can also be
used to open hoods on car fires. In confined space and structural
collapse situations, the Power Wedge provides a lightweight, compact and
powerful system to help free victims. On construction, farms and
industrial sites, the Power Wedge can be used to free victims in all types
of machinery. The Power Wedge is the forcible entry tool of choice.
